Head
All SA kits include their new MA-30L dual format anvil-style lever release head, which accepts both arca and picatinny rails. This head incorporates the modern inverted ball design, which minimises leverage on the head, and a clamshell design, which maximises ball contact area for the finest and smoothest possible friction control. The clamp gauge can be adjusted for a perfect fit with different rail widths.
Ranger Chassis
Using Leofoto's best-selling Ranger series chassis as a foundation, the apex has been modified slightly to accept their new MA-30L dual format anvil-style head as well as the massive 40mm legs that make the LM-404 and SO-362 our best selling models for rifle sports use.
Proprietary Head Connection
It is very important to note that all SA series tripods have a special mounting "cup" on the apex, which only accepts heads with the corresponding foot. Leofoto currently offers two compatible head designs - the MA-30L (as pictured with all SA kits) and the 'S' variant of the MH ball heads. These tripods do not have a standard 3/8" screw which allows any tripod head to be mounted.
Kestrel & Accessory Mounting
Please note that SA tripods do not have an accessory port on the apex. If you want to attach a magic arm to mount your kestrel, smartphone or any other accessory , you can simply attach an MC-40 clamp to any of the legs.
